Here’s what Slingshot has to say about the New Rev Kite:
“The NEW Slingshot REV is the answer for every kiter looking for the performance requirements of a traditional “C” shape kite but more of the depower range of a dedicated bow kite. The REV is a 4 line hybrid kite that has a unique compact bridle and comes complete with the NEW Directdrive control bar.The NEW Directdrive control bar eliminates the use of pulleys on the water and features the NEW Center Safety System which brings 100% depower safety and convenience below the bar.So whether you are the likes of Ben Wilson smacking waves all day long in surf or a flatwater freeride looking for a Fuel-like feel with depower, look no further than the Slingshot REV!”Here are some reviews that riders across the globe have written:
“I flew the Rev at Vento because there was no wind anywhere. I went out the 11m Rev. I had to depower the Rev so that it was comfortable for me to ride. As soon as I got it dialed in I started to enjoy the truly high performance of the kite. It is a very fast flying kite, with just the right amount of bar pressure so that you can feel where the kite is. The kite has very little back line pressure and is easily flown with one hand, it is so easy to steer. It takes barely any pressure on the back lines to get this kite to turn. The SLE /C kite characteristics that everybody is talking about means always having power in your turns no on-off-on pull through your turns, just a nice smooth pull throughout your turns. This kite has got some HANG time. I swear, I though I was Jessie Richman a couple of times without the long hair and way older. Seriously this kite is a phenomenal jumper. I actually feel that I have enough time in the air to pull off some styley moves (still need to work on the style end of things). Back/front rolls are much easier as a result of the extra lift that this kite provides.I have been watching the local talent fly the Rev’s beating the living shit out of these kites, slamming on the water after a failed kite loop handle pass to blind. They seem to be no worse for the ware, no rips, no busted bladders, no nipples torn off.The only reason not to by a Rev is if, 1) you have not flown the kite. 2) hate Slingshot products. 3) are getting a serous hook up from some other kite manufacture/shop. 4) This kite will spoil you and will make flying other kites not so much fun anymore.”This review was taken off of Gorge-based forum NWKite.com and was written by the member Twin-Fin. Portions of it have been cut and paste. The full review can be read at: NWKite.com

Jason getting ready to launch the Slingshot 13m Rev at Manzanita.
Here’s what Angelo, an SA2S Team Rider had to say after testing the REV:
“The S2AS Team have just got back from Testing the new Kites from Slingshot including the new SLINGSHOT REV, we tried it in light winds on day 1 and the following day in a good 20 knots no hype from us just pure honesty!!This kite will blow your mind away. It is super stable, fast, and very forgiving. The safety system is unreal… you can release the chicken loop on a full release so the bar goes up the centre line and STILL re-launch the kite with no Line tangles at all!! Every time.Jumping blah blah blah every brand says “it jumps higher than last years kite” All I will say it JUMPS MASSIVE!! I ride 2007 Fuels…. now they are up for sale!!! I have just got myself two Rev’s”This review can be read at the Belgian-based site http://www.kiteboarder.be/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=908&Itemid=1&lang=nlSlingshot put out an awesome video showcasing the REV on youtube. I’d definitely recommend checking it out.
