Come check out what the sport of kiteboarding is all about! You’ll get the chance to learn in a non-intimidating environment surrounded by women instructors, riders, and students. This clinic is only offered once a year so take advantage of this great opportunity!

The Women’s Kiteboarding Association along with Jetty Island Kite & Skim will be putting on this event. The WKA, founded by Liquid Force pro-rider Tonia Farman, has done many women’s clinics all over the country and they have the program dialed in. We are very lucky to have them visit the northwest to put on this popular class.

Here’s what you’ll need to know:
Beginner Clinic 9-12:30 $100
For those new to kiteboarding, looking to get up on the board and start riding upwind! We will have full jetski and boat support to assist you while you are in the water. We’ll be able to retrieve your board and relaunch your kite if necessary, all the while coaching you on what to do. The goal of this class is to get you comfortable in the water and make you a self-sufficient kiter.

Intermediate/Advanced Kite Clinic 2-5 $100
For those who are looking to take their skills to the next level. This clinic is tailored to perfecting whatever skills you wish to work on, whether it be transitions and riding toe-side to spins and unhooked moves. The class will be split in half during this time. While the first half is riding and getting tips from Tonia in the boat, the other half will join her in the boat. This will give you a chance to hear her suggestions and watch what the other riders are doing at this time. Halfway though, the groups will switch. Its proven to be a very effective learning tool and will be a breakthrough day for many. For three hours of world-class, personalized instruction you can’t beat the price!

Throughout the day we will provide lunch, cold drinks and lots of free swag from Liquid Force’s Maven Line (The only women’s specific kiteboarding division)! We’ll also have tons of gear for you to demo including Liquid Force kites and boards. You have to try out their women’s specific Aura 127! In addition, you can try out the new Maui Magic (Mystic’s women’s line) seat and waist harnesses. Come prepared for a full day of fun, sun, and kiting!
