I didn't know what was going on at the time, but could see the Police zooming around the lake as I made my way downwind to Magnusson. Kite-boarding looks like alot of fun, but I hope the importance of safety is being stressed to these non-waterman Washingtonians who are being introduced to this potentially dangerous activity. I'm not pointing fingers, of course, but seemingly preventable incidents like this really show the need for better preparedness among the local Kiting and ocean-going community in general.
