SKA Kite Night….Tonight!

September 13th, 2007 by katieclack

In case you haven’t been paying attention to the local forum, tonight is the Seattle Kiteboarding Association’s Kite Night. We’ll be voting on the Board of Directors for this coming year as well as celebrating the end of summer! Videos by our local kiteboarding video master, Jim “Stringy” Stringfellow, will be shown all night. Prizes from Slingshot (compliments of Jetty Island Kite & Skim) will also raffled off throughout the evening so grab some free swag!

It’s a great opportunity to become a member of the association and have a say in who will take charge for next year. Candidates will be giving short speeches and the board will reveal their highly anticipated Mission Statement. They interim members have been generous enough to put up $400 towards the food/drink tab tonight so bring your party pants!

Just like last time, the Kite Night will be held at the fantastic Elliott Bay Brew Pub in Burien. The beers are great and the plates are huge! You can get directions at: http://www.elliottbaybrewing.com/burien/map.shtml. They will have a private room set aside for our group and shuffleboard tables for some fun games! And in case you were wondering, yes kids are more than welcome.

So come out and join us for some fun. I’ll post pictures tomorrow!
